Baltimore’s Vibes, 7 Days a Week
Sunday comes in two speeds around here: brunch-and-bloody-marys slow, or scream-along-to-metalcore loud, and today Baltimore is serving both. Broadway’s national tour of Maybe Happy Ending opens right here at the Hippodrome before it plays a single other city. Phantogram fills Nevermore Hall. Naomi Klein and Astra Taylor sit down at the Parkway for a free talk on the far right (yes, on a Sunday). And the Ravens open their season down in Indy on national TV, so grab a stool at Guilford Hall or Hampden Yards and make it a watch party. 31 things to do below — go put real pants on.
🎵 Music & Nightlife
Drag the River, The Swims & The Flying Faders @ Ottobar
Alt-country road warriors Drag the River roll through with two openers in tow — three bands, one room, doors at 7 PM. All ages, so bring whoever needs converting to twang-rock tonight.
Whispers, Balisong & Badwave @ Ottobar (Upstairs)
u+n Booking stacks the upstairs room with three acts for one ticket — doors at 5:30 PM, all ages. Get there early for a spot up front.
Industry Night @ Ottobar (Upstairs)
Service industry folks, your Sunday starts at 9 PM upstairs — 21+, and it’s the low-key way to close out the weekend after everyone else’s shift ends.
ENOX w/ For Fear Itself, Omen//Skye, Harsh Mentality & Bedroom Floor @ Metro Baltimore
Five bands of prog-tinged metalcore, doors at 6 PM, around $26 with fees. If your Sunday needs a breakdown — the musical kind — this is it.
Phantogram @ Nevermore Hall
The synth-pop duo that’s soundtracked a decade of your best nights out lands at Power Plant Live. Doors 7, show 8 — see the event page for tickets.
Motown & More: The Legacy Lives @ Keystone Korner
Two sets — 5 PM and 7:30 PM — of Motown, soul, and everything that legacy touched, in Baltimore’s best jazz room. Tickets run $35–45 depending on seating; this room is small, book ahead.
Sunday Live Music All Day @ Cat’s Eye Pub
Fells Point’s blues-and-roots dive runs it back with three full sets: The Sirens at noon, Steve Kraemer & The Bluesicians at 4, and the Will Schmidt Band closing it out at 9. No cover, all day — this is the definition of a Sunday session.
Witching, Ecliptor & Deidre Stone @ Holy Frijoles
Sludge and doom metal on a Sunday night, because why not. $12 at the door, 18+, and it’s the kind of bill that rattles your ribs.
Roots Cafe Singer-Songwriters Series: Another Look at Bob Dylan @ An die Musik Live
A daytime set at 1 PM reinterpreting Dylan’s catalog in An die Musik’s intimate, sit-down room. $10–15 in person, or stream it for $12 if you can’t leave the couch.
Ultra Naté’s Deep Sugar Rooftop Jam: The Record Release @ LB Skybar
Baltimore house-music royalty Ultra Naté throws her long-running Deep Sugar party on the rooftop, celebrating a new record. 5–10 PM, $25–40, 21+ — the best sunset of your week, guaranteed.

Cousin Tiera @ Magooby’s Joke House
Stand-up at 7 PM, doors 6:30, 18+. Come for the crowd work, stay because Magooby’s always makes Sunday feel like Saturday.
Chris Alan @ The Port Comedy Club

New Material Night @ The Port Comedy Club
Same room, same night, same start time — but free. Local comics workshop brand-new sets in front of a live room. 21+.

All Signs Point North & Sycamore Spring @ Black Cherry Puppet Theater

🎥 Screen Time
Muppets from Space @ The Senator Theatre
A 10 AM revival matinee for $7 — the cheapest, silliest way to start a Sunday.
Practical Magic 2 @ The Senator Theatre

Ravens Watch Party @ Guilford Hall Brewery
Purple-clad crowd, big screens, 1 PM kickoff. Beer’s better than what you’d have at home anyway.

Five outdoor TVs, drink specials, purple-crush pitchers, and a free Jell-O shot every time the Ravens score. Doors at noon, kickoff at 1.
Live Racing @ Laurel Park

The 15th annual gathering to remember pets who’ve passed, 6–7:45 PM in Reisterstown. Free, but RSVP required.
Garden Drop-in @ Cylburn Arboretum
Wander the gardens near the mansion and pepper a Garden Educator with questions, 2:30–4:30 PM. No charge, no pressure.
⭐ Our Bonus Pick
Maybe Happy Ending — Tour Launch @ The Hippodrome Theatre
1 PM & 6:30 PM · The Hippodrome · see event page for tickets
Before this goes to a single other city, it opens here. Maybe Happy Ending swept six Tony Awards this year including Best Musical — a quietly devastating, genuinely funny robot love story set in near-future Seoul — and Baltimore gets it first. Tour launches don’t happen in this city often, and when they do, they don’t stay under the radar for long. Get in the room on opening weekend before everyone else catches up.
That’s a Wrap!
That’s 31 reasons to put real pants on today. Tomorrow’s a Monday, so brace yourself — but Metal Monday, midweek gems, and whatever else the week throws at us will be waiting in your inbox.
Until then: yodel it from the rooftops. 🗣⛰
