Baltimore's Vibes, 7 Days a Week
Baltimore, clear your afternoon. The Ravens host the Saints at 1 PM, the Orioles host the Brewers at 7:20 PM, and the Baltimore Book Festival takes over Waverly for its second and final day — free, all day, no ticket required. That's before we even get to metal anniversary shows, a jazz trio playing two sets, and a Haitian flavors dinner in Hampden. 30 things worth leaving the couch for today (well, half the couch — we get it, football). Let's go.

⭐ Our Bonus Pick
Baltimore Book Festival, Day Two — Waverly, free, all day (baltimorebookfest.com/full-schedule/)
This is it — the last day of the year's best free festival, and it's the kind of thing that makes you remember why you live here. Nine outdoor stages spread across 30th, 31st, and 32nd Streets, 100+ literary vendors, and a lineup stacked with writers who'd sell out a ticketed room elsewhere: Austin Channing Brown and Tarana Burke in conversation, Molly Crabapple on the Jewish Bund, Gil Durán on Silicon Valley fascism, Lawrence Burney on "No Sense in Wishing." No ticket, no line, no excuse — walk the neighborhood, catch three or four talks, grab something from a vendor tent, and call it a perfect Baltimore Sunday. It doesn't come back until next September.
That's a Wrap!
That's 30 for a Sunday that somehow has room for two home games, a full-day book festival, and a jazz trio playing two sets. Tomorrow's a Monday, so we're easing you back in gently — Metal Monday, trivia, the usual cheap-night suspects. Go outside, go to Waverly, go to the stadium, or go nowhere at all. All correct answers.
Until then: yodel it from the rooftops. 🗣️⛰️
